Renowned Danish author Orla Nygaard and World of Art Award Winning Danish Artist Asbjorn Lonvig
have so far published 3 children's books on LuluPress.com who administers print on demand publishing.

Two Books have been published in English. They are about a family who buys a dog (a Beagle).
The father is skeptical because he does not think he has time enough to look after the dog.
However, he becomes so fond of the dog that he decides to bring up and train the dog himself.
Unfortunately, things do not turn out the way he thinks and hopes. Time after time things go wrong
and very far from what he had expected, which results in a number of comical and bizarre situations.

I liked the titles of the books. Very memorable. Children and parents can relate easily to the titles and
chapter titles. The colors of the covers and the art on the covers is very appealing for children as well as parents.
I love your geometric art and think it goes really well with the story contents.The inside of the books are very nicely done.
The page layouts are very clean and the art and story go really well with each other.
One can follow the story easily by looking at the pictures.

I liked the stories very much. Each had humor and a strong concept of family values.
The stories are lessons as well, but these lessons do not distract from the fun aspect of the book.
For very young children, each chapter could be made into its own book.
The books are WONDERFUL!

Loved your Grand Canyon Mist painting featured in Absolute Arts!!! It is beautiful!!
I will be the Artist in Residence for the Appalachian Mountain Club in New Hampshire next week. The area is very mountainous and the colors in the mist look just like your artwork!
Hope all is well. My family and I are fine. I'm doing several works and wish there were more hours in the day.

Seeing the world through a child's eyes! Great Blog, Asbjorn!! My family and I are also taking our yearly trip to Bethlehem, New Hampshire. We have summered here for many years. With my husband and me are our son, daughter, son-in-law and one-year-old granddaughter, Alice. Every flower, tree, stone is a wonder to Alice. As she examines it all. I am enjoying a new perspective! I am looking at detail I often overlook. As we introduce Alice to all of our favorite places: lakes, parks, gardens, a "fairytale" theme park, we see the past and present (and, of course future) through her eyes. Additionally, I have just become acquainted with digital photography. A camera is an excellent way to see nature and gain knowledge for paintings. I find the digital technology fabulous! My pictures are immediately available! How wonderful to keep learning.... My vacation is like yours, Asbjorn: Food for thought!

Art is a form of communication. It is also a way to express what the artist sees and feels. If an artist wishes only peace and quiet, why not produce empty canvases? Even if the artist is communicating with a leaf, a drop of rain, a grain of sand, the joy or sorrow / success or failure / and all other emotions can be shared with others to give the artist affirmation for all the efforts that are required to produce art. Asbjorn, you need no affirmation, but your sharing of your wonderful art gives so much pleasure that it would be sad for you to work in peace and quiet. I think that your art should resound throughout Denmark and the world to brighten lives!

Thank you Asbjorn for this insightful journey into one artist's creativity. I find the contrast of your passion for joy and life with Bill Viola's wrenching emmotionality an art form in itself. Your "blue sky" artwork gave me a wonderful feeling and it brought back the first time I saw the Guggenheim in 1963.

It is your American fan club, me! Great art blog...a good friend of mine is Chinese and during Tiananmen Square Massacre we cried together....what a nightmare!
When I was in Paris, I took my children to the Left Bank and a young artist did their silhouettes in a very short time. It was fascinating. I wish my brush was as fast and clever! You continue to give me food for thought! Thank you!!
